ATHENS, Ala. — A two-vehicle crash at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, claimed the life of a Rogersville man.
Troopers said Charles Edward Craig, 86, was fatally injured when the 2016 Nissan Versa he was driving failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2016 Ford F-350.
Craig was transported for treatment to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The crash happened on Alabama 99 near Salem Minor Hill Road, approximately 12 miles northwest of Athens.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
