UPDATE: Hoover Police confirmed the suspect in the shooting was taken into custody at 2:23 a.m.
The shelter in place is officially lifted.
Police have not released information on the suspect.

HOOVER — Hoover police are searching for a man they say shot at officers Sunday evening.
Police said the man fired several shots at officers.
The shooter is described as a white male with khaki shorts. He was last seen on foot.
Carol Robinson, with al.com reported the man also slashed the tires of police vehicles. The vehicles were parked in the Lorna Road Police Operations Center parking lot. When officers approached him, he fired shots but no one was injured.
