CENTER POINT — The Center Point Area Chamber of Commerce announced its Sept. 14 luncheon speaker will be Birmingham Water Works Board (BWWB) General Manager Michael Johnson.
The BWWB provides service to over 600,000 customers and Johnson oversees operations. Johnson previously worked as the Director of Finance for the city of Birmingham and has professional experience with the IRS and in private practice.
The retired Marine Corps Colonel served in the military for 26 years. He holds an MBA from the University of North Alabama, a Masters in Science with a major in Taxation from National University, and a BS in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is a CPA as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Due to COVID-19, the chamber will host the luncheon at the Center Point Community Center at 533 Sunhill Road. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $15.
Attendees must RSVP by Friday, Sept. 10.
