HOMEWOOD — An affidavit made public on Monday, September 20, 2021, alleges that a Birmingham woman used a necktie to strangle the victim in a homicide earlier this month.
Alexandria Nicole Davis, 29, is accused of killing U.S. Army veteran Johnnie Will Anderson III, whose decomposing body was discovered on September 10 at his home at the Park at Buckingham apartments on Aspen Circle.
Authorities say Davis killed Anderson and stole his cell phone, car keys and a debit card.
Davis was arrested the next day at a Circle K convenience store on Lorna Road in Hoover. She is also charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of a woman in Birmingham, apparently unrelated to the killing of Anderson.
Davis is currently being held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
