PINSON — Social media was abuzz Thursday that a threat against Pinson Valley high school had been circulating.
However, an investigation of the reported threat found no credible evidence to back up the rumor.
Pinson Valley High principal Michael Turner wrote a letter to parents Thursday saying that that school administrators and law enforcement had investigated the rumor and found that there was no merit to the allegation.
“However, out of an abundance of caution, we did increase security on campus today,’’ Turner wrote. “We take these matters seriously, and the safety of your student is always our top priority.”
