BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a Center Point man who was shot and killed on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Malik Tyree Sutton, 25, was shot and killed during an altercation in an alley on the 4200 block Avenue L in Ensley.
“The decedent sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault,” Deputy Coroner Bill Yates reported. “The death is being investigated as a homicide therefore, all questions regarding the circumstances surrounding the death should be made to the Birmingham Police Department.”
Sutton was one of two Birmingham Metro-area men to die by gunfire within an hour of one another on Friday night.
