TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Veterans Committee plans to host a Veterans Outreach Day on Sunday, November 7, at the Trussville Civic Center from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event will be a Veterans Outreach Day and will be free and open to the public.
The Veterans Committee is newly formed. Its goal is to honor and respect our Fallen Heroes, Veterans, Blue Star Families, Gold Star Families, and Community Members of Trussville. The Veterans Committee serves under the Mayor and City Council but, more importantly, serves the veterans and families in the community.
“Veterans stories and the sacrifice that they and their families have made need to be heard, and as a committee, it is our job to share those stories with the community,” Veterans Committee President Chad Carroll said.
In the few months of becoming a committee, the Veterans Committee has held a Memorial Day Event and 9/11 Remembrance Event.
