BIRMINGHAM — A Hoover woman who died as a result what the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office termed “an assault” has been identified.
Madison Shae Pilkington, 25, was pronounced dead at her apartment on the 1300 block of Autumn Wood Drive in Hoover, on Saturday, January 29, 2022 around 4:30 a.m., Deputy Coroner Bill Yates reported Monday.
“The decedent sustained injuries during a reported assault,” Yates stated. “The death is being investigated as a homicide therefore, all questions regarding the circumstances surrounding the death should be made to the Hoover Police Department.”
Pilkington’s boyfriend was apprehended after he reportedly led police on a car chase on I-65. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
