CALHOUN COUNTY — A woman was fatally injured when she was struck by two vehicles on Monday, February 21, at approximately 8:33 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Keiley J. Waldrop, 21, a pedestrian, attempted to cross U.S. 431 and was struck by a 2020 Freightliner Commercial Truck driven by Michael Kimbrough, 49, of Daphne. Waldrop was then struck by a 2004 Ford Ranger driven by Joshua Sexton, 23, of Ohatchee.
Waldrop was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which occurred on U.S. 431 near the 240-mile marker, approximately five miles north of Anniston.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
