LAUDERDALE COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a 17-year-old on Thursday, February 24, at approximately 6 p.m.
After the initial impact, the Ford F-250 left the roadway striking a utility pole before overturning and hitting an embankment along with several trees. The Murano, driven by Christopher C. White, 53, of Florence, also left the roadway struck an embankment along with several trees.
The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. White was injured and transported by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
