BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is investigating a shooting that injured two people on Tuesday, April 12, shortly before 2 p.m.
“Officers arrived on the scene, and they did not locate any victims on 52nd Street North; officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound near 50th Street North at Richard Arrington Junior Boulevard North,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel transported the victim to UAB Hospital.
“The Birmingham 911 Communications Division was alerted that we had three additional gunshot victims who arrived at UAB Hospital; however, detectives verified there was only one additional victim (adult male),” Fitzgerald said.
One of the males has life-threatening injuries, and the other has non-life-threatening injuries.
