BIRMINGHAM — Charity Poker Walk in Lakeview District will support several local charities on Friday, April 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“Draw Your Cards” (1 card per location) at host locations Moe’s BBQ, SideBar, Tin Roof, Steele Gastro Pub, Oasis, & Lou’s. Visit any of the locations in order of your choosing. Each host location will have food and drink specials.
Pick up your first poker card and register at SideBar located at 2929 7th Avenue South in Birmingham. All Locations will have Drink and Food Specials for Participants. Final Poker Hand must be turned in to the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association (GBAA) Volunteers at Tin Roof by 6:45 p.m. (no exceptions)
All Entries include a Complimentary Drink (Domestic/Wells) at Tin Roof (Only). Must resubmit drink ticket by 7:00 p.m. If you don’t like your hand, attendees can draw up to two new cards at the Tin Roof. Prizes are awarded to first, second, and third Place Hands. In the event of a tie, each finalist will be allowed a one-card draw, and the highest card wins. Drawings for door prizes will be at Tin Roof.

The King’s Home
For over 47 years, King’s Home has been home to hundreds of youth, women & kids seeking refuge, hope, and help from domestic violence, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances. Our Purpose: To serve Christ by serving youth, women, and mothers with children.
King’s Home owns 21 homes on six campuses in four Alabama counties (Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, and Tuscaloosa). All of their programs combined serve approximately 140 youth, women, and adult moms with children daily. During 2020, 226 women, children, and youth were accommodated in a KH program.
Hatching Hope
Hatching Hope is a 501(c)(3) disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization that provides immediate recovery essentials to residents displaced from their apartment homes by fire or other disasters. Since Hatching Hope’s launch in 2016, they have served nearly 25,000 families, children, and pets that have been impacted by disaster.
Along with serving victims of apartment fires, tornados, and hurricanes, Hatching Hope has served the multifamily community and Shelby County during the COVID19 crisis. Hatching Hope provides critical sanitation supplies and PPE to apartment communities, first responders, and other essential workers, along with hosting a large community-wide PPE giveaway and free COVID testing.
Hatching Hope is so thankful to have the continuous support from the multifamily industry that helps them to provide relief and aid to those displaced after disaster strikes.
