TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department (TPD) identified the suspect involved in the car chase on Monday, May 2.
According to the TPD, John Henry Lewis, 46, of Birmingham, has been charged with first-degree receiving stolen property bond of $30,000 and attempting to elude bond of $3,500.
Lewis also had several outstanding warrants with other local agencies. Lewis has been transferred to the Jefferson County Jail.

Springville Police Department (SPD), Argo Police Department (APD), and TPD chased a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Birmingham.
The car hit on a flock camera in Trussville at 5:57 p.m., and TPD attempted to initiate a traffic stop at Sonic in the 400 Block of Main Street in Trussville.
SPD deployed a spike strip, and the car was disabled at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 174.
A short foot chase ensued before the suspect was apprehended.
