TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Rotary Club has inducted several new members in recent weeks.
Brian Fisher works as a lender at Community Bank and has been in the banking industry for 13 years. He has been married to his wife, Vila, for almost 19 years and has a daughter, Yasmin, a Hewitt-Trussville High School (HTHS) student. He enjoys playing basketball, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends.
Derek Rios is originally from Toronto, Canada. He came to Alabama on an athletic scholarship to study and play soccer at UAB, where he graduated with an Exercise Science degree and MBA. He met his wife, Mandy, in college, and they have been together ever since. They have lived in Trussville since 2011 and have been married for 10 years. They have two boys, Mason Grey (5) and Mateo James (1). Derek previously served as Executive Director for Trussville United Soccer Club for 10 years, and he now runs Total Futbol Club. He enjoys the outdoors (especially sports) and supporting all our community events.
Paul Hebda grew up in Chicago. Growing up, he wanted to be the “best band director ever,”; but after getting his Master’s in music history at Vanderbilt University, Uncle Sam had other plans. After seven years in the Army, he earned his Ph.D. at N. Texas University and was an adjunct professor in music history. His dad had a business that manufactured garage door openers, and after working with him for a while, he worked for a similar company in Texas. He attended law school at night and practiced in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area before retiring and moving to Alaska. He was a Rotarian in the 80s and finally decided, at the invitation of our own John Griscom, to come back to Rotary.
Adam Seal is originally from Trussville and is a graduate of HTHS. Adam is in commercial property and casualty insurance with Petra RMS. He has been married to his wife Lindsey for 14 years (they were neighbors in Auburn), and they have two boys, Barrett (8) and Wyatt (6). His hobbies are his boys’ sports and traveling; he and Lindsey are looking forward to the running of the bulls in Pamplona next year. He and his family now live in the Homewood area.
Bonnie Hicks has more than 34 years of experience as a Top Producer Real Estate Agent. Bonnie is an associate broker with Re/Max Southern Homes 280 and has experience as a Builder and Interior Designer. She just opened an office for her real estate investment company, CM Residential Holdings LLC, in the Cahaba Building in downtown Trussville. She has been married to her husband Donny for 49 years, and they have two grown children and some beautiful grandchildren.
