TRUSSVILLE — Denise Dockery and John Patterson were on Tribune Unscripted on Thursday, May 26, to discuss the Leland Dockery Tribute Cruise-In.
Longtime member of FBCT, Leland Dockery, passed away on March 27, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving behind a life filled with family, friends, community and country. Husband to wife Denise, father of two, grandfather of four, he was a veteran of the US Coast Guard, retired as owner of Dockery Electric, and served as chairman of the Trussville Utilities board.
Dockery enjoyed spending time at the family’s lake house and making local breakfast rounds with the guys. All his life he had a thing for cars. Leland loved his cars and had been tinkering with hot rods since he was in high school. He personally restored over 30 cars.
The 3rd Annual Leland Dockery Tribute Cruise-In will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2021, at First Baptist Church Trussville.
