BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department has identified the victim of a Saturday, June 11 homicide as 43-year-old Morrion Hamilton.
Officers arrived on the scene when they observed the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Fitzgerald stated. Officers rendered aid to the victim by applying pressure on his wounds.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and transported the victim to UAB Hospital. UAB Hospital staff pronounced the victim deceased.
“The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was involved in an argument with an unknown suspect,” Fitzgerald stated. “The suspect fired shots at the victim then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Currently, there is no one in custody.”
