Joy Kiffner Harris was born on October 9, 1951, in Highland Park, Michigan, to John and Jean Kiffner; she passed away on June 20, 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Even though Joy was blind, it didn’t stop her from living a full and happy life and always giving to others. One of Joy’s big goals in her life was to devote herself to helping other blind people live their best lives.
Joy’s message is, “Don’t let the ups and downs in life stop you from being the best you can.”
Joy is survived by her husband, Allen Harris, sisters, Ruthann Kiffner and Jay Kiffner Cobbs (twin); children: Bryan Parobek, Scott Parobek, Jeniffer Harris, Katie Palmer (Nick), Eric Harris (Nicole), and Lilly (Furbaby); grandchildren: Scott Parobek, Jr., Jamielyn Parobek, Taylor Novellino, Alyssa Staten, Drew Hines, Nicky Hines, Braxton Parobek, Bryson Parobek, Matty Palmer, Collin Harris, Brooklyn Harris, and Samantha Harris; nieces: Polly Bispo and Abby Bispo; nephews: James Spitzley (Alice) and Thomas Spitzley.
Visitation for Joy Kiffner Harris will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, AL 35235.
Burial: Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Birmingham.
