BESSEMER — Four William Donaldson Correctional Facility inmates died this week.
He was an inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility serving a life sentence for sodomy from a 1996 conviction out of Autauga County. He was found unresponsive in the prison infirmary, where he was being treated for significant natural disease.
Chief Deputy Coroner William Yates said no signs of trauma or foul play.
Joe C. Davis, 75, was an inmate at the Correctional Facility that died on Friday, July 8, at approximately 8:04 p.m.
He was an inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility serving a life sentence for robbery and assault from 1991 convictions out of Jefferson County. He was transported to UAB Hospital for further treatment of significant natural diseases.
Chief Deputy Coroner William Yates said no signs of trauma or foul play.
Jakari Marquez Norris, 30, was an inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility serving a 10-year sentence for robbery from a 2014 conviction out of Tallapoosa County.
Norris died at William Donaldson Correctional Facility on Sunday, July 10, at approximately 1:14 a.m.

Lionel Ferado Oneal, 45, was an inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility serving a 25-year sentence for manslaughter from a 2012 conviction out of Macon County.
The inmate died at William Donaldson Correctional Facility on Saturday, July 9, at approximately 6:30 a.m.
“An examination was performed on Sunday, July 10, with no signs of trauma or foul play found at this time,” Chief Deputy Coroner William Yates said.
