ETOWAH COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:37 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, has claimed the life of a Glencoe man.
Ty D. Owens, 56, was fatally injured when the 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that he was operating struck a 2015 Dodge Ram driven by Dantrel McGee, 27, of Winnsboro, Louisiana.
Owens was pronounced deceased at the scene. McGee was not injured.
The crash occurred on Interstate 59 near the 177 mile marker, approximately six miles south of Gadsden, in Etowah County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
