Peggy Hollis, 85, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 23, 2022.
Peggy Ann Little was born on July 5, 1937, in Haleyville, Alabama, where she spent most of her childhood. After graduating high school, she married her sweetheart, Ronald Keith Hollis, and they started their married life in Winfield, Alabama, where their two children, Ronnie and Kathy, were born. They later moved to Birmingham, where Peggy worked as Residency Training Coordinator in UAB’s Department of Otolaryngology. Peggy’s favorite lifetime work, though, was caring for her friends and family, whom she loved with her whole heart.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Idelle Little, brothers, Benny and Danny Little, and husband, Ronald Keith Hollis. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Hollis, daughter, Kathy (John) Cook, grandson, Ben (Molly) Cook, granddaughter, Emily Hollis, and great-grandchildren Emma Kate, Hannah, and Sam Cook.
The service for Peggy Hollis took place on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining garden.
