JEFFERSON COUNTY — Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 31, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close exit 148 entrance ramp on I-59 northbound for asphalt paving operations.
All ramps are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, August 1.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, through Friday, August 5.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
