TRUSSVILLE — Alabama State Banking Department’s June report states that the Peoples Bank of Alabama has announced that it has acquired a bank branch in Trussville

According to the Birmingham Business Journal, the former Union State Bank branch at 305 Main Street has been acquired by Peoples Bank.
“This will be our fifth location in Jefferson County and positions us with a location to better serve our customers in the eastern Jefferson County area,” Birmingham Market President Brian Bertella told the Birmingham Business Journal. “The branch itself is in a great location, located on Highway 11, adjacent to the Trussville Entertainment District.”
Peoples Bank acquired the location after seeing growth in the area and plans to bring current branch employees onboard.
Birmingham Business Journal states that the location’s market value was assessed at $654,000 by Jefferson County property tax records, but the property’s purchase price was not disclosed.
