IRONDALE – The Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce hosted its first-ever “Ice Cream Social” on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at Alabama General Contractors (AGC) located at 5000 Grantswood Road in Irondale.

There were several entries in the event’s homemade ice cream contest, but with so much ice cream and so little time, only one could walk away with the $50 grand prize. That lucky winner was lee Headrick, who created the “Crowd Favorite” Snickerdoodle ice cream. Headrick also received a certificate.
The event was sponsored by Mayfield Dairy Farms, who also provided some traditional chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
