MIDFIELD – The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died from gunshot wound injuries after an incident that occurred at the 900 block of Fifth Ave., Midfield, on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 12:11 p.m.

According to a report from the Coroner’s Office, Glenn Antonio King, 34, of Fairfield, was transported to UAB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:28 p.m.
“The decedent sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault,” Deputy Coroner William Yates said.
The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Midfield Police Department.
