JEFFERSON COUNTY — Beginning on Sunday, Nov. 13, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the inside (left) lane at 7 p.m. and center lane at 8 p.m. or outside (right) lane at 7 p.m. and center lane at 8 p.m. of I-20 eastbound or I-20 westbound for Asphalt Overlay between Milepost 136.95 (near 1st Avenue North Bridge) and Milepost 140.10 (near US 78 in Leeds, AL).
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
