PINSON – The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office stated that a 47-year-old black male from Pinson died on Monday, Feb. 20, around 9 p.m., after the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and ended up in a ravine at the 4600 block of Bud Holmes Road, Pinson.
The man has been positively identified, but his identity is withheld pending notification of family.
“The decedent was the driver and lone occupant of a Toyota Camry involved in a single-vehicle wreck,” Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said. “For unknown reasons, the decedent’s vehicle left the roadway and was located at the bottom of a ravine.”
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
