TRUSSVILLE — Sidecar is getting ready to play their final show on the 16 anniversary of their founding at Ferus on Friday, June 23.
Sidecar was founded in 2007 and after 16 years they have reached their final curtain call and are ready to go out with a bang at Ferus on Friday night.
This will also be the first time in years all four original members will be playing together. Originally founded as a four piece band, they have played as a three piece for much of their history. The band is excited for everyone to be back together for one more show.
The band will go on at 7 p.m. at Ferus and will play until 9 p.m.
Listeners can expect to hear some popular songs from the 80s, 90s, and more.
Scott Stearn, drummer for Sidecar, said it’s great to be able to put a grand finale on almost two decades of music.
“We haven’t played regularly in almost three years,” Stearns said. “We kind of realized we never did an official final show so that’s where this idea was born. Lets give the public what they want. Music is powerful. It takes you back to a certain time or place or feeling and that’s why we were successful. We took people back to that place.”
