FULTONDALE — Police in Fultondale announced on Sunday that a joint child predator operation conducted with the Covenant Rescue Group that resulted in 11 arrests. According to the statement, Fultondale also received assistance from police in Leeds, Warrior, Homewood, Irondale, and other agencies.
Police said none of the individuals arrested lived in Fultondale.
According to the statement, the following individuals were arrested in the operation:
Jamonte Jackson, 25, of Bartow, Georgia. Jackson was arrested for traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Domingo Cruz, 34, of Bessemer. Cruz was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Ariel Quezada, 25, of Pinson. Quezada was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Rolando Santana, 27, of Jasper. Sanata was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Dominique Powell, 37, of Tarrant. Powell was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Angelo Wilson, 58, of Birmingham. Wilson was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Alexis Reyes , 22, of Columbiana. Reyes was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Brian McLeod, 27, of Pleasant Grove. McLeod was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, electronic solicitation of a child, and transmitting obscene material to a child.
Jayson Sparks, 55, of Cullman. Sparks was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.
Alexader Osala, 32, of Bessemer. Osala was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child, aggravated assault of a police officer, and resisting arrest.
Robert Newton, 22, of Trussville. Newton is wanted for traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child, attempting to elude, and resisting arrest.
“Robert Newton backed into an unmarked police vehicle in an attempt to flee,” according to the statement released by FPD. “He then refused medical treatment. However, the Jefferson County Jail refused to accept him because he had been involved in a vehicle accident. He is currently wanted for the listed charges.”
All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court.
