BIRMINGHAM — An early morning shooting leaves one dead in the early morning hours of Monday, June 26.
The Birmingham Police Department identified the victim as Christen Taylor Adams, 22, of Birmingham.
Just after midnight, West Precinct officers were dispatched to a call in the 4900 block of Avenue North after a person heard shots and called 911. Officers arrived on the scene and observed Adams lying unresponsive suffering from a gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced Adams deceased.
The Shot Spotter registered around nine rounds fired in the area.
There is no one in custody.
