BIRMINGHAM — A 13-year-old girl was injured in a drive by shooting on July 4.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a shooting that occurred within the 1200 block of Center Point Parkway at around 10:15 p.m.
A black colored vehicle opened fire upon another vehicle heading in the same lane of travel.
At least one of the bullets hit a 13-year-old girl. She was transported to Children’s Hospital and is in stable condition. The suspect vehicle was believed to be occupied by at least two people.
There is no one in custody at this time.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are conducting the investigation into the shooting.
