VINCENT – A Talladega man is dead after striking a truck while riding his motorcycle on Tuesday, July 18.
“John S. Costner, 21, was fatally injured when the 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating struck a 2008 Ford Ranger driven by Clifford McWhorter, 69, of Cropwell,” said Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal. The crash happened at 5:50 p.m.
Costner was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The crash occurred on Logan Martin Dam Road, around six miles northeast of Vincent.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
