BIRMINGHAM — Police believe an unknown assailant shot two men in Birmingham early Sunday morning, killing one of them and sending the other to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The male outside of the apartment was pronounced dead by personnel from Birmingham Fire and Rescue. Police identified Morris Brown Scott, 40, of Birmingham, as the victim.
The second male was transported to a local area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Fitzgerald said it appeared the two were hanging out in the area when an unknown suspect shot at them.
There is no one in custody at this time.
