TRUSSVILLE — The annual Paws for a Cause charity event raised over $47,728 at this years event on Saturday, August 19 at the Trussville Entertainment District.
Trussville City Schools Foundation (TCSF) will use these funds to give back to the schools, teachers and students in the form of grants this December.
Teachers will be able to apply this Fall for grants up to $1500 per classroom to be used for special projects and equipment that will benefit the students beyond the minimum requirements set by the state.
TCS Athletic Foundation will use their funds to benefit all AHSAA sanctioned athletic sports teams at TCS and provide services, equipment, meals, supplies, travel, training, tournament fees, uniforms, and assistance.
“I am truly grateful to be a part of a Foundation that works hard to give back to our students and teachers in TCS. We are so inspired by how our community supports local businesses, who in turn support our community! Thank you, Trussville.” said Leslie Armstrong, TCSF Executive Director.
