TRUSSVILLE – Grandview’s Freestanding Emergency Department in Trussville will be temporarily closed while a permanent generator is installed on Wednesday, September 6.
The shutdown began this morning, Wednesday, September 6 at 5 a.m. Grandview said all systems should be back up and operational to accept patients beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 7.
Community first responders and other emergency teams have been notified.
Leisha Harris, Marketing Director for Grandview Medical Center, said installation of the permanent generator was necessary for continued operations and delivery of patient care in the event of a power outage.
