BIRMINGHAM – A seemingly routine traffic stop on Sweeney Hollow Road turned into a chase after Jefferson County Sheriff’s officers discovered the vehicle to be stolen during the three o’clock hour today.
“We tried to stop a vehicle that turned out to be stolen and they ran,” Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Lt. Joni Money said.
According to Money, one person has been taken into custody.
