IRONDALE — The body Pell City man who was killed in a crash Saturday evening near Irondale was found on Sunday, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Bailey said the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9.
James B. Myers II, 26, of Pell City, was fatally injured when the 2014 Toyota Tacoma that he was driving left the roadway and overturned.
“Myers was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was ejected,” Bailey said. “The Tacoma went into the wood line and as a result was not found until Sept. 10, Myers was also located and pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The crash occurred on Interstate 459 near Interstate 20, approximately one mile east of Irondale, in Jefferson County.
No further information is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
