“This is a blind hill,” Argo Police Chief Alan Busler said. “The red Mustang was driving at excessive speed passing cars on Highway 11.”
Busler said a man driving a white Tacoma pickup truck was heading north on Highway 11 while the red Mustang was heading south in the northbound lane.
“The Mustang couldn’t get out of the opposing lane in time,” he said.
The driver of Mustang was declared deceased on the scene, while the driver of the Tacoma was transported by Regional Paramedic Services (RPS) to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Chief Busler said it is currently unknown when Highway 11 will re-open.
“The coroner has been notified and is in route and has requested that the vehicles stay in place so that he can photograph the scene,” he said.
