PINSON – As the businesses of Main Street Pinson approach the second anniversary of Pinson Trade Days, founder Patti, of Patti’s on Main Street Flea Market/Consignment, says now is the time to sign up for Trade Day’s newest addition: a children’s talent show.

Children are welcome to come out and perform a talent of their choice for the chance to be named winner of the Pinson Trade Days Talent Show. Parents must sign their children up in advance, along with what talent they will be performing, by visiting Patti’s on Main Street during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Talent Show participants are also encouraged to bring tip buckets the day of the event.
Trade Days, which takes place the first Saturday of each month, offers the public a chance to experience Pinson in all its small-town charm with a variety of vendors, music and food. Patti said she came up with the idea for Trade Days when she noticed the small businesses along the street struggling, both before and during the 2020 pandemic, and wanted to use her knowledge of the antique dealership business to help the other small business owners on the street.
After its first year, Pinson Trade Days was made a quarterly event, with off-months bringing the community Parking Lot Yard Sales.
According to Patti, however, Pinson Trade Days will once again be held monthly, with the only difference being that Main Street will remain open.
“It was so hot for our last Trade Days, I called the city (asking them not to close the road),” Patti said. “The city appreciated it. So (now), Main Street will be opened for everyone’s convenience.”
Pinson Trade Days takes place the first Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering free booths to vendors.
