HANCEVILLE — Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Traffic Homicide Investigation Unit (THI) located and arrested a suspect in the hit-and-run death of a 19-year-old bicyclist on Monday, Nov. 13,
At around 5:15 p.m., Ryan J. Jolly, 36, of Harpersville, was arrested and charged with Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Death.
The arrest is a result of a single-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday, Nov. 9, at around 6:46 p.m., in Cullman County, when bicyclist Dakota R. Lamons of Hanceville was struck and killed by a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jolly, who left the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers continue to investigate.
