CENTER POINT — Fifth grade students at Chalkville Elementary School took home United State Champion status in the 2023 CoderZ League Robotics Competition that lasted from August 2023 to November 2023.
The Fall 2023 CoderZ League Robotics Competition consisted of students solving over 40 missions by programming a cyber robot. Only three schools took home the United States Champion distinction.
Chalkville Elementary’s other team came in nineteenth place, outlasting about 50 school-teams.
“These young engineers demonstrated exceptional programming skills and teamwork by applying engineering and math concepts in real-world scenarios,” said Dr. Yuvraj Verma, Elementary School teacher at Chalkville Elementary.
“We are so excited for our amazing students! Thanks to Dr. Yuvraj Verma for bringing this to our scholars,” said Chalkville Elementary School Principal Michael Bissell. “For some, the pathway to an education can be perilous.
