LEEDS — The Leeds Christmas Parade will take place in downtown Leeds this Friday, Dec. 8.
The parade will begin at 7 p.m. in historic downtown Leeds. Parade goers are invited to experience the magic of Christmas and holiday festivities with the Leeds community and celebrate Christmas on the Parkway.
There is no charge for organizations to participate, but registration is required. Professional parade floats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This year’s Grand Marshall will be the Woman’s Literary Club of Leeds who is celebrating their hundredth anniversary. Other VIP’s who plan to participate include Senator Dan Roberts, Representative Susan DuBose, Miss Alabama 2024 Brianna Burrell, Miss Alabama Teen 2024 Elaina Burt, Miss Jefferson County 2024 Emma Terry, Miss Leeds 2024 Area Anna Grace Deason and Miss Leeds Area’s Teen 2024 Christina Norman.
The parade route will begin on Parkway Drive on 10 Street, travel through historic downtown Leeds to Sonic, turn left on Ashville Road; then on First Avenue and travel First Avenue to 6 Street where the parade will conclude.

Leading up to the parade, community members and parade attendees are invited to shop and dine citywide in Leeds with the Chamber’s Shop Local and Win program currently underway.
Mistletoe on Main is planned from 4- 6 p.m. hosted by Leeds Main Street. The festivities should include games, food trucks, live music, horse and carriage rides, bounce houses, a kiddie train, photo ops, and more. An after-party is planned at Rails and Ales.
