CENTER POINT – The City of Center Point Parks and Recreation Department has announced it will be hosting its first ever Christmas Movie Night on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at the Center Point Community Center.
There will be two different movies for two different age groups of children – more details to come.
“We will be inviting the community to join us for a holiday experience that the whole family can enjoy,” Parks and Recreation Director Amy Green said. “We are excited to be able to open our facility for the children and families of Center Point and offer this event at no cost.”
Center Point Parks and Rec is asking local businesses to help sponsor this event by providing refreshments. Businesses that contribute will be recognized on the city’s flyers and social media platforms.
Items they are hoping to have donated include:
- cases of bottle waters
- hot chocolate (powder)
- marshmallows
- popcorn oil
- popcorn kernels
- popcorn salt (have popcorn machine)
- holiday cookies, candy, or treats of any kind
The city is expecting to have up to 200 people in attendance.
“Thank you in advance for your consideration,” Green said. “All donations are accepted, appreciated, and can be dropped off at the community center or picked up by us from any location. Please give us a call if you are able to partner with us for this very special event.”
Any individuals, businesses or organizations interested in sponsorship can reach out to the CPCC staff at 205-545-8555.
