TRUSSVILLE – The Trussville chapter of Eagle Forum will meet at the Trussville Civic Center on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, to hear from guest speaker Les Bernal.
Bernal has served as Chief of Staff in the Massachusetts State Senate and worked as a campaign strategist for more than 40 federal and state campaigns. Presently, he is the national director of Stop Predatory Gambling, which has a mission to “reveal the truth behind gambling operators to prevent more victims.”
In 2015, Bernal was named one of Deseret News’ seven people who made a difference that year.
The presentation Bernal will be giving at the Eagle Forum will be titled, “Gambling: The ‘Good,’ The Bad, and the Ugly – Honestly, it’s all ugly.”
Coffee and refreshments will be offered prior to the meeting, from 5:30-6 p.m., with the meeting starting at 6 p.m. Q & A may extend to 7:45 p.m.
