JEFFERSON COUNTY — A man has been charged with two counts of capital murder in the shooting death of two teenagers and now authorities are looking for him.
Walker is the person accused in the December 11, 2023 shooting death of 13-year-old Jonathan Cottingham and 19-year-old Louis Craig IV.
“According to the investigative reports Walker shot the two victims while they were sitting in a vehicle at the 200 block of Chickasaw Drive near Adamsville,” Money said. “A third juvenile was also inside the vehicle but was able to escape injury.”
Walker is wanted on two counts of capital murder, one count of attempted murder, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle and three counts of reckless endangerment.

In 2022, Walker was charged in the shooting of a 3-year-old.
On Thursday December 8, 2022, at approximately 4:09 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a location on Tower Dr. in Forestdale to investigate a report of a 3-year-old who had been shot.
Deputies arrived at that location and found a 3-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to her abdomen. The child had been left in the care of her 19-year-old brother Leon Walker Jr.
After review of the evidence, Sheriff’s investigators have charged Leon Walker Jr. with Aggravated Child Abuse.
