TRUSSVILLE — Tribune area school districts are beginning to announce plans for Wednesday in light of the winter weather and the impact on travel.
LEEDS CITY SCHOOLS
Due to extremely cold weather and possible icing conditions Leeds City Schools will be delayed 2 hours in the morning Wednesday January 17. Buses will run 2 hours later that normal.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY SCHOOLS
UPDATED Tuesday 5:06 p.m. – Due to the dangerous road conditions, schools will be closed tomorrow, January 17th. There are still very dangerous road conditions spread across our county and we always put the safety of our students and staff first.
Original announcement: Due to the continued threat of dangerous travel conditions, St. Clair County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow morning, January 17th. All busses will run and all schools will open 2 hours after their normal time. As always, the safety of our students and staff are our top priority.
JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS
Jefferson County Schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 17th. There will also be no extracurricular activities.
TRUSSVILLE CITY SCHOOLS
Due to winter weather, Trussville City Schools will open on a two hour delay on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Buses will run on a two hour delay.
JEFFERSON STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Due to icy conditions, all Jefferson State campuses will delay opening until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024.
