CLEBURNE COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:42 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, has claimed the life of a Fruithurst man, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
“Wesley S. Ballew, 22, was fatally injured when the 2003 Honda Accord that he was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned,” Bailey said. “Ballew was not using a seat belt at the time of crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The crash occurred on Cleburne County 14 near Cleburne County 80, approximately eight miles north of Fruithurst, in Cleburne County.
No further information is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
