TRUSSVILLE – “This is a great day,” said Hewitt head coach Josh Floyd. “It is one of my favorite days of the year.”
For nine Husky players, it was a great day.
“Right now it is very hard to get a scholarship,” he said. “With NIL and the transfer portal, it makes it tougher than it has ever been.”
“There are over a million kids that play high school football and only seven percent of those play in college.”
The nine Hewitt signees racked up $8.6 million in scholarship offers.
“I am so proud of the guys for what they have done on the field and off the field,” said Floyd.
Hewitt has seen 66 players sign scholarships or recieve Preferred Walk On status over the last ten years.
