ST. CLAIR COUNTY–A Birmingham woman was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday along Interstate 20 approximately three miles west of Pell City, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Cody Farrar.
At approximately 4:25 a.m., Tamiyah L. R. Campbell, 26, was killed when the 2014 Lincoln MKS she was a passenger in was struck by a 2017 Ford F-250 driven by Gregory H. Blue, 22, of Pelham.
The Lincoln was parked on the shoulder of the highway at the time of the crash.
Campbell was not using a seat belt at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The impact also caused Blue’s F-250 to overturn.
The driver of the Lincoln, Dominuque O. Rutledge, 31, of Birmingham and Blue were both injured and transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
