TUSCALOOSA–The Hewitt-Trussville High School Science Olympiad team competed at the Regional Science Olympiad at the University of Alabama last weekend, according to the Trussville City Schools’ Facebook page.
The team finished in fourth place overall and earned medals in six events.
Anna Morris and Sadie Benson took first in the Chemistry Lab.
Lily Johnson and Benson got first in Geologic Mapping.
Trace Barlok and Aubrey Payne finished first in Write It Do It.
Clarissa Davidson and Parker Lybrand placed first in Air Trajectory.
Krish Patel and Kathryn Ann Waller took third in Fermi Questions.
Solveig Sugden and Davidson got third in Scrambler.
The team will travel to Auburn University next for the state competition on March 23.
