BIRMINGHAM–Antoine Daily, the suspect in a workplace shooting that occurred in Birmingham earlier this week, turned himself into police custody on Wednesday, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
The following day, Birmingham Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Daily, 36, for attempted murder.
On Monday around 8:50 a.m., police were called to a report of a shooting at Dawson Tarps, located at 2617 24th Street North in Birmingham.
Officers arrived on the scene and found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel transported the victim to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The victim remains hospitalized and in stable condition.
According to police, the motive in the shooting appears to be an ongoing dispute over the victim owing Dailey money.
Dailey is currently in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail and has a $60,000 bond.
